Meet Our Executive Director
Dear SIS Community,
It is a privilege to return to Step One International School and to serve our community as Executive Director. SIS is a school that I know well, having previously served here in a leadership capacity, and I am delighted to return at an important stage in the school's continued growth and development.
I believe deeply that Every Child Succeeds when students are known, supported, challenged and inspired. Our responsibility as educators extends beyond academic achievement. We must create an environment in which children develop confidence, character, curiosity and the skills they need to thrive in an increasingly changing world.
As we move forward, our focus will remain firmly on the quality of teaching and learning, student wellbeing and safety, continuous school improvement, and the development of a strong professional culture among our faculty and staff. We will continue strengthening our Cambridge Primary programme while ensuring that our curriculum provides meaningful opportunities for students to think critically, communicate effectively, collaborate and become increasingly independent learners.
The values of respect, teamwork, compassion, integrity, accountability, resilience, innovation and excellence are central to the SIS community. These values should not simply be words on our website; they should be visible in our classrooms, relationships, decisions and everyday actions.
Parents are essential partners in this work. I look forward to building strong relationships with our families, listening to our community and maintaining open and purposeful communication. When students, parents, teachers and school leadership work together with a shared commitment to children, we create the conditions in which every child can succeed.
